1. Can I build a website for myself?
Yes, you can. It is not particularly hard to do a basic site. There are lots of ways you can do it, usually with an online service such as AOL. The options are limited, but it suits some peoples needs. But, if you are wanting to have a special “look” and want to do some extra things . . . forms, special hyperlinks, graphics . . .you will probably be ahead by getting some help.
2. Why should I use ArtisticWebsites.com?
This is an highly competitive field and, with the high end software available, you can get a nice site built for you by many designers. So, what we have to offer is service. It has been our experience that the main complaint is “I can't get my site updated” or “It takes my webmaster too long to take care of my site.” We update within the hour of receipt of the e-mail giving us the information for the update.
3. Others charge as much as $500 for an “entry level” site. Why are your set up charges so low?
In the long run the setup fee becomes insignificant. We are interested in building a long range relationship with you, so, over the years, the monthly maintenance fee will be there. Yes, we put a lot of time into the initial setup of the site and, the first few months, you will probably be giving us updates quite regularly. But, after awhile, things will settle down and the updates will not involve that much.
4. Does it take very long to get the site up and running?
It all can happen very quickly. It depends on when you get us the materials that are going to be used (pictures, text, etc). First, we will try to get an idea of what kind of a site you would like and need to have . . . such as, is it a business look? . . . or is it entertainment? If you do not already have a domain name (yournameofchoice.com) we will have to get that for you, but, again, this does not have to take very much time. Usually we have a “start” of your site up the same day as the decision to “go” is made and then make modifications as we go.
5. I want to do this, but how do I get the money to you in a hurry?
It can be handled by credit card through paypal.com . . . an online service for handling transactions between two parties. It is very easy to do and costs you nothing extra. Just go to paypal.com and give the normal credit card information. Then click on “send money” and have it sent to our paypal account. That is all there is to it! They notify us that the money has been deposited and you have yourself a website.
6. Will you take
over maintenance of my existing site?
Yes. If you wish
to have your site updated or have pages added to your site, and we did not
develop it, we will be happy to do that.
